My Biological Clock is Ticking...

So I know that sounds funny, especially considering I haven't even graduated with my undergrad degree; but I am not talking about a human baby!! I am willing to wait a long time to have one of those. My longing for a puppy has been re-fueled by Lilly P's latest release.

I saw on the Lilly blog that they were planning on launching accessories for our canine companions in October. Well here it is, in the middle of December, and it finally hit their website! They have two different patterns of collars with matching leads available, as pictured below.

I love, love, love both of them! So now all I need is a dog to put it on!!

I have already had "the talk" with my parents and I promised them that I would wait until I graduate (which is in May). That was before I found this puppy on Petfinder.com... she is a Jack Russell, Maltese, Shih Tzu mix. Seriously, this is one of the cutest dogs I think I have ever seen!!

I have never had a little dog before. Growing up we have had 3 Black Labs and a German Short Haired Pointer. I had been debating about what kind of dog I wanted and finally narrowed down my list to: Black Lab (large), Beagle (medium), or Jack Russell (small). Every once in a while, I will meander over to Petfinder.com and see what is available in my area. Never, had I seen one that I was that attracted to, but now that I found this dog... I WANT HER!!!

So I am in a conundrum about what to do?!

What a cute dog. I love the lilly p. lease and collars. Did you the monopoly game by lilly?

it's a sign with the lilly collars and leashes that you HAVE to get a puppy!! :-) I'm partial to beagles because that's what we have (well a mix)...that puppy you found is SO cute!

OMG, I did not know about the LP doggy line. I need to do my HW more often;) As far as getting a dog make sure you research the breed well or at least ask the vet questions if it's a mutt. I have a chinese pug and I would not trade her for the world. I LOVE HER! However, I did not research pugs and bought her just b/c she was so darn cute. They shed like crazy. I wish I would have researched the breed to find out things like that. Just a little advice to help ya. There hard work as puppies just like having a baby, but they are definitely worth the companionship and the joy they'll bring you!!!

I want a dog very badly as well! Rescue dogs from petfinder are the best! We rescued a rat terrier and she is so much more greatful and happy than our purebred rat terrier!

I want a puppy so bad, too. I sent my husband a link of things I wanted from "Santa", I put:

-a link to J Crew sweaters and said grey/navy
-LL Bean slippers - chocolate
-(link to lab puppy farm near us) - yellow

He didn't think it was funny.

Being in school and having a dog can be tough some times (you have to study but he wants to go play) but it is so worth it. Especially with that cute little guy, what a gorgeous mix!!
